Yorkie Saved From'Recliner's Jaws' Thanks To Orange County Fire

"No call is too small!" Orange County Fire Authority said when a tiny Yorkshire Terrier was rescued from inside a reclining chair.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA —A San Clemente family expressed their gratitude Sunday after Orange County Fire Authority Firefighters rescued their tiny Yorkshire Terrier from the mechanisms of a reclining chair.

On Sunday, The pet owners called engine 60 to the scene where a little terrier known as Roni was stuck inside the recliner.

"The crew worked patiently to free the frightened pet," OCFA said in a social media report. Firefighters calmed the palm-sized pup during the process while the technical rescue was employed.

Part of the mechanisms of the chair had to be cut away in the process, they said.

"The dog was freed without injury and released to grateful owners," they reported.
