2 Arrested In Connection To Armed Robbery Of Delivery Driver
The investigation remains ongoing.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Police have arrested two Hayward men in connection with the armed robbery of a food delivery driver last month, authorities said.
The robbery occurred about 10:20 p.m. Feb. 13 in the 14700 block of Pepperdine Street. According to police, two armed suspects confronted the driver and stole his cellphone at gunpoint.
Police said one of the suspects then allegedly tried to steal the victim's vehicle but was unable to put it in gear because the driver still had the car's key fob. Both suspects fled in their own vehicle.

Detectives used public safety camera searches to identify one suspect as Angel Ureno-Vega, 18, of Hayward. He was arrested Feb. 24 at his workplace in San Leandro, police said.
A search warrant served on Ureno-Vega's car led to the recovery of a Glock handgun matching the description of one used in the robbery, according to authorities.

Furthermore, a forensic review of Ureno-Vega's cellphone later led detectives to identify a second suspect, Alexis Cisneros-Robles, 19, also of Hayward. Police arrested him Thursday during a surveillance operation in Castro Valley.
Authorities did not immediately release the charges. The investigation remains ongoing.
