2 Families Burned Out Of San Leandro Duplex
3 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs escaped from the fire. It was reported at 4:43 p.m. on Monday. (Breaking)

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Two families were burned out of a duplex in San Leandro Monday evening when flames broke out on the 100 block of Cambridge Avenue.
The fire was reported at 4:43 p.m. Firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the single story duplex when they arrived. The fire spread to the attic, but was put out within 25 minutes of firefighters arriving at the scene.
No one was injured and the fire did not spread to nearby homes.

Everyone managed to get out of the duplex before firefighters arrived.
The Red Cross is helping both families - the first one has two adults and two dogs, while the second has one adult and four children.
