2 San Leandro Men Murdered In Oakland In Separate Shootings

No arrests have been made, according to Oakland Police.

OAKLAND, CA —Oakland police on Tuesday released the names of two recent homicide victims.

Rigoberto Rico-Jimenez, 26, of San Leandro, was identified as the man who was shot in the area of 107th Avenue and Russet Street, near San Leandro Street and BART tracks, at about 6:20 p.m. on Jan. 17 and died at a hospital two days later.

Sleyter Ramirez-Jimenez, 22, who's also from San Leandro but isn't related to Rigoberto, was identified as the man who was shot in the 2000 block of 22nd Avenue at about 11:55 p.m. on Jan. 19 and pronounced dead at the scene.

Oakland police said the two shootings aren't connected and no arrests have been made.

Police haven't released suspect information or motives in either fatal shooting.
