5 San Leandro Students Graduate From Stanislaus State

Their senior year was virtual, but the university held an on-campus graduation ceremony for the Class of 2021.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Five San Leandro residents graduated from California State University, Stanislaus this spring.

Stan State held six on-campus ceremonies to honor the graduates.

After having spent their final year at Stanislaus State in virtual and online spaces because of the COVID pandemic, the graduates of the Class of 2021 assembled on campus May 26-28 for Stanislaus State's 61st Commencement.

The ceremonies were held in the campus's outdoor amphitheater. Stan State celebrated more than 3,000 graduates, including five from San Leandro—

  • Itzel Santos Martinez graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice
  • Victoria Boykin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture
  • Roxana Rios-Reynaldo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies
  • David Ota Mayorga graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice
  • Madison Olea graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History

California State University, Stanislaus has two locations in the Central Valley— a 228-acre campus in Turlock and another in Stockton, located in the city's historic Magnolia District.

Stan State offers 43 majors, 41 minors and more than 100 areas of concentration, along with 16 master's degree programs, seven credential programs and a doctorate in educational leadership.
