Reward Offered For Suspect Who Attacked Postal Worker In San Leandro

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Authorities are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect who attacked a postal worker in San Leandro during late July.

The United States Postal Inspection Service says the worker at the Estudillo Station Post Office was returning from her break around 3 p.m. on Monday, July 27, when the suspect attacked.

Video shared by the department with Patch shows the suspect stepping onto the station's back dock, walking straight, while seemingly pretending not to notice the worker, before quickly landing a punch and striking the worker.

The department is offering a $150,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest and conviction.

"Take no action to apprehend this person yourself," the United States Postal Inspection Service said in a wanted poster shared with Patch. "If you have any information about this incident, please contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455 (say 'Law Enforcement')."
