On Friday, officers tracked down the stolen car to the 1300 block of 104th Avenue, police said.

When they tried to pull the driver over, they got out of the car and ran into a nearby home, prompting a standoff, police said.

The officers eventually found the suspect, who police described as a convicted felon on probation, and took him into custody in connection with the carjacking, according to authorities.

Officers then served a warrant at the suspect's home, where they found ammo, body armor, a firearm holster and evidence linking him to the carjacking, police said.

Police did not release the suspect's name or what charges they could be facing.
