• Video shows I-580 wrong-way chase near San Leandro; standoff with vehicle's occupants (kioncentralcoast.com) — A wrong-way driver in a blue Mustang led deputies on a dangerous chase along I-580 near San Leandro, shutting the freeway in both directions for nearly an hour during a standoff. San Leandro police rolled out an armored vehicle to assist, and all lanes gradually reopened by early afternoon after both occupants were arrested and three people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
