SAN LEANDRO, CA — San Leandro's Davis Street charity distributed Holiday Baskets to 1,000 low-income and at-risk families and seniors this week. The baskets include a complete holiday meal and gift cards for the children.

But there was an added treat in the baskets — a crisp $100 bill donated by an angel donor.

The recipients were overwhelmed by the generosity of the gift, moving many to tears. One woman said, "It means my kids will have more of a Merry Christmas. Thank you."
