Apply by April 22: Clean Water Program Grants
Get funding now for future projects that keep creeks, wetlands and the Bay clean and healthy

The Alameda County-wide Clean Water Program is offering grants between $500 and $5,000 for projects that protect local creeks, wetlands, lakes, beaches and the Bay. Proposed projects must be aimed at reducing pollutants that enter the storm drain system and end up in waterways such as litter, garden chemicals, automotive products, etc.
Projects must also contain a community or public outreach element. Activities can range from litter cleanups, creek restoration and wildlife habitat enhancement projects to art projects, community outreach events and more. Get creative! A total of $23,000 may be available for funding.
Eligible applicants include teacher and student groups, youth organizations, homeowners associations (HOAs), community groups, environmental groups and other non-profit organizations. Projects are expected to start after August 2020 and be completed by August 2021.
