San Leandro CA…The Bayfair Farmers’ Market celebrates its annual Kids Day event on Saturday, July 26th from 9am-1pm. In addition to all of your favorite local farmers and vendors the market will have special activities specifically for kids and families! Everything is free to the public.
Children of all ages are invited to join us in an interactive cooking class to learn a DELICIOUS, healthy recipe using fresh ingredients from the market. The puppet show featuring marionette puppets from Fairyland in Oakland will begin at 10:30am. Learn all about beneficial insects while making a buzz worthy hat at the kids craft station and get your face painted to match! Other games include throwing (don’t worry, they’re not real) and the infamous pumpkin pitch!
Seasonal produce highlights include vine ripened cherry tomatoes, Brentwood corn, tree ripened peaches and nectarines, artisan bread and pies, ocean-fresh fish and much more! Enjoy lunch while you’re at the market.You can chow down on a rotisserie chicken or tasty falafel or even pick up some fresh handmade tamales for an easy dinner!
The Bayfair Certified Farmers’ Market is a location approved by the County Agricultural Commissioner where farmers offer for sale only those fruits and vegetables they grow themselves.
