Cause Of San Leandro House Fire Under Investigation

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Alameda County fire officials said Tuesday that the cause of a one-alarm fire at a house in San Leandro on Monday morning remains under investigation.

The fire at the house in the 500 block of Fortuna Avenue, which is located near Interstate Highway 580, was reported at 7:52 a.m. Monday, according to fire officials.

Firefighters knocked the fire down quickly, containing it to the living room area in the rear of the house and preventing it from spreading into the attic or neighboring properties, fire officials said. No injuries were reported.
