Cooler Weather Settles Into San Leandro: Photo Of The Day

Does the cooler weather spell the end of summer gardens? Miyo Burnett is still harvesting tomatoes and cucumbers — but for how long?

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Last Thursday's Heat Advisory may have been the end of the line for summer, after cooler temperatures and rain moved into San Leandro. Miyo Burnett contines to harvest her summer garden but the Master Gardener plans to pivot to fall/winter plantings by Nov. 1. Is anyone else still harvesting summer favorites? Who is overwintering tomatoes?
