Energy Recovery, Pasteurization Technology Make News
Developments at two of San Leandro's innovation companies.
Two innovative San Leandro businesses made news today.
Marketwatch.com reported that Energy Recovery Inc. will provide pumps to create a more cost-effective desalination system in Chile.
"Chile is on the forefront of a major desalination boom and we are proud to help contribute to the country's economic development in this regard," Energy Recovery president Tom Rooney said in a statement.
In separate news, Pasteurization Technology Group (PTG) appointed Mark Hughes, a veteran of the renewable energy industry, to build up the young company's power generation division.
PTG has patented a process to disinfect wastewater using renewable energy.
