Alameda County 4-H is hosting a SET (Science, Engineering, Technology) career day, Get SET For Your Future, on April 21st from 10 am–2 pm at the Creekside Church & Community Center at 951 MacArthur Blvd. in San Leandro. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
Geared especially to tweens and teens, exciting careers from microbiology to biotechnology, from engineering to physics will be presented. Explore aviation with a pilot and investigate with a criminalist. Study the microscopic in hematology and the universe in heliosciences. Enter the world of animals with a naturalist and an entomologist. Get creative with a graphic artist.
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Fun With Science booth will conduct scientific experiments and Surfin’ the Solar Wind will lead activities in the heliosciences. There will be exciting exhibits by the Sulphur Creek Nature Center and in solar power, as well as amazing 4-H projects!
