There is a great opportunity for local youths who enjoy playing basketball.
Just ten months old, the Alameda Vipers Basketball Club has established several boys’ team for its Spring season. The Vipers are now conducting tryouts for their U11 (5th Grade) boys team. The goal of the Vipers' organization is to create a foundation for their players to develop their fundamental skills while establishing team basketball and dynamics. Their coaches believe it is important to have continuity as the player and their team develops with each successive year. The club provides a year round program by participating in tournaments and league play.
The Alameda Vipers Club is affiliated with the national Amateur Athletic Union, and is hosting tryouts on Friday, Mar. 9, for boys in 5th grade at Wood Middle School at 6 pm. Players will travel to other local cities to compete. Interested parties should contact the Alameda.Vipers@gmail.com or 510-306-4505.
