Come support the grand reopening of San Leandro High School's Career Technical Education Center on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
This extensive renovation, including new state-of-the-art equipment, was made possible thanks to funds from the 2006 voter-approved school facilities bond Measure B and will give our students access to world-class training in the industrial arts.
Our local school district understands the importance of educating youth in the technical trades to prepare them for real-world jobs once they enter the workforce, and our city officials and local chamber of commerce know that skilled high school graduates are a valuable resource to San Leandro companies dedicated to growing their businesses and the local economy.
Which is why the City of San Leandro, San Leandro Chamber of Commerce and San Leandro Unified School District are partnering with the San Leandro Education Foundation to organize this celebration.
Please join us in commemorating this achievement. The event will include an official ribbon cutting, tours of the Center's updated wood, metal and auto shops and a brief program in the adjacent Performing Arts Center. Light refreshments will be served.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. Please RSVP by September 21 to SLED Project Coordinator Jennifer Courtney at jennifer@sledfund.org.
