
The public may drop off donations for the Oakland Museum of California's 53rd Annual White Elephant Sale (scheduled for March 3 and 4) on two Saturdays, November 19 and December 10 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Donations should be brought to the museum's warehouse site located at 333 Lancaster Street in Oakland.
Alternatively, the White Elephant Sale van can pick up donations of good quality, gently used items from the public on Tuesdays through Sundays by appointment. To arrange a pickup call 510-839-5919.

The White Elephant Sale is billed as the largest rummage sale in Northern California and attracts hundreds of shoppers. All of the sales earnings go to support the museum's programming and exhibitions. The museum, itself, is a resource enjoyed by people from throughout the East Bay and beyond.
Donations collected in advance of the sale are spread out in a 96,000 square foot warehouse and divided into 17 different categories.

Some of the types of items that will be on sale in March include art, furniture, books, vintage clothing, dishes, children's clothing and toys.
