Students in grades 6 to 12 can form teams to compete in Amazing Race-style challenges based on Amy Tan's "The Joy Luck Club" and Chinese culture. The event will include prizes for winning teams, and Chinese food will also be served.
The March 4 event takes place at the Manor Branch Library. The March 18 event takes place at the Main Library.
Teams must register in advance and return the registration form to the library where they wish to participate. Registration opens Feb. 1 at the San Leandro Main Library Information Desk. You can download the registration form from the library's website.
