Fire Along Railroad Tracks Doused Before Spreading To Buildings
The fire was reported behind a commercial building in San Leandro.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Alameda County firefighters took just 20 to extinguish a small fire in San Leandro on Tuesday.
It was reported at 4:54 p.m., according to Alameda County Fire DepartmentPublic Information & Community Relations Officer Aisha Knowles.
Firefighters found a vegetation fire on the train tracks to the rear of the property at 2050 Williams Street in San Leandro. The flames were threatening a building.

"A quick and coordinated fire attack resulted in the full extinguishment of the 1-alarm fire within 20 minutes," according to Knowles. "The fire was contained to the area of origin and did not extend to the building."
No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
