Firefighters Quell Blaze In San Leandro

Crews battled a smokey blaze in San Leandro on Saturday.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Firefighters extinguished a large fire at a building in San Leandro on Saturday, the Alameda County Fire Department said.

The blaze was reported at 7:30 a.m. at the building on Washington Avenue. ACFD crews and the San Leandro Police Department responded to the fire.

It took crews more than 90 minutes to quell the main body of the fire surrounding hot spots.
