A Good Day In The Garden: Photos Of The Day

Late summer gardening in San Leandro.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Miyo Burnett loves gardening and tends to her flowers and vegetables as often as possible. In August, she was in the garden early to beat the heat, picking flowers and vegetables by 8 a.m.

A special flower that Miyo grows is milkweed for Monarch butterflies. She keeps an eye out for eggs and caterpillars, hoping to help the struggling species.

Thank you for sharing your photos, Miyo!
