Helmet Cam Video Of 3 Alarm Fire

The cause of the Valentine's Day fire at Georgia Pacific in San Leandro has been determined.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — A 3-alarm fire at Georgia Pacific in San Leandro last week was caused by an electrical problem in a cardboard box wax application machine, Alameda County Fire Department Investigators have determined. There were no injuries reported.

The fire was confined to the machine in the rear warehouse of the one-story building.

The fire was reported shortly before 6 p.m. and forced at least one street closure for fire fighting efforts.

The fire department has released Helmet Cam footage from the blaze.
