Jared Cunningham, San Leandro's Jeremy Lin, Recalls His High School Days Here

Oregon State University standout and former San Leandro High School star was interviewed during the Pac 12 semi-finals last week.

Jared Cunningham, San Leandro High School class of 2009, was a basketball sensation when he played for the Pirates under coach Sean MacKay, averaging 20.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.0 steals in his senior year.

Since then he's gone on to become a standout at Oregon State University. Though it's a stretch to liken him to Jeremy Lin -- the Palo Alto High grad whose NBA play has sparked an epidemic of "Linsanity" -- Cunningham may be the most acclaimed former Pirate ever.
