The Historic Bal Theatre in San Leandro is presenting a "New Year's Eve Comedy Celebration with Luenell & Friends" December 31 with shows at 7 and 10 p.m.

Featured will be "The Queen of Comedy Luenell" along with comedians Chris Storin,  Kabir Kabeezy Singh, Kirk McHenry, Eric & Martin The Misfits of Comedy and Big Al Gonzalez as your host. 

Luenell, who was raised in Northern California and attended Castro Valley High School, has starred in numerous films and television shows.

Some of her many performance credits include Borat, The Boondocks television series, the movie Hotel Transylvania, Taken 2, Mac & Devin Go to High School, C'mon Man, That's My Boy, Think Like a Man, Snoop Dogg Presents: The Bad Girls of Comedy , Comedy Underground , It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Breaking In , The Middle. , Funny or Die Presents..., Laugh Out Loud Comedy Festival , Budz House, 35 and Ticking, Californication , All About Steve, The Tony Rock Project , Spring Breakdown, Hey Luenell , Chocolate News, The Hustle, Head Case , Divine Intervention, So Fresh, So Clean... a Down and Dirty Comedy, Never Die Alone, The Tracy Morgan Show , The RocK, Nash Bridges and  So I Married an Axe Murderer. 

Tickets are $40 general admission, $60 preferred admission and $100 for VIP tickets.  VIP tickets include up front orchestra seating and a special "meet and greet" session with Luenell. You must be age 18 or older to be admitted into the comedy show. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the performance begins at 7 p.m.
