Man Arrested In San Leandro Shooting
He is charged with attempted murder and several other gun enhancement crimes.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — A 24-year-old Oakland man was arrested Sunday after allegedly shooting another man multiple times in a San Leandro neighborhood, according to police.
Mario Young was arrested after officers went to the 1500 block of Sayre Street just before 2 p.m. Sunday to investigate a fist fight between two men, one of whom had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old man in the front yard of a home who was still alert despite suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his abdomen and legs. Paramedics arrived and brought him to a hospital, where he is being treated for injuries that are not
life-threatening, police said.

Police were told that the victim was shot by an acquaintance after the two men brawled over some sort of dispute.
The officers broadcasted information they obtained about the shooter and his car to other police units. Within minutes, a police sergeant located the suspect, later identified as Young, near the Greenhouse Marketplace and was able to apprehend him. He remains in custody in Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, police said.
