New Verizon Cell Tower In San Leandro

Company promises better, faster 3G access on west side of town.

Verizon Wireless said Friday that it has installed a new cell site in San Leandro. It will improve 3G wireless coverage and capacity along Marina Boulevard, Stenzel Park and Farnsworth Street.

Verizon Wireless said it has invested more than $6.5 billion in its California network since being founded in 2000.
