Poll: Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday; When Do You Shop?

This seems to be the season for clever slogans.

Even if they're not entirely true, these catch phrases may become self-fulfilling prophecies by creating a critical mass of sales which then excite consumers.

For instance, everyone knows that Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year, right?

Wrong, says Misconception.com: last minute shoppers typically make the Saturday before Christmas the biggest day at the cash register.

Small Business Saturday is a moniker in the making. It is sponsored by American Express to who are under increasing pressure from big box stores and online vendors.

Finally there is so-called Cyber Monday, when consumers return to work and let their fingers do the shopping. But a CNN article says that, too, is mostly a myth.
