Popular Drive-Through Flu Clinics at Kaiser Permanente in Fremont, Union City This Saturday, Oct. 4

More than 4,500 Southern Alameda County resident got their shots – at the drive through and in walk-in sites – on first day of clinics Sept.

Oct. 3, 2013 - Hundreds of people are expected to take advantage of the second and final weekend of the drive-through flu clinic this Saturday, Oct. 4 at Kaiser Permanente Fremont Medical Center, 39400 Paseo Padre Parkway, and at Kaiser Permanente medical offices in Union City, 3555 Whipple Road.

More than 2,000 people used the convenient drive through and walk-in clinic in Fremont in during the first day of the flu clinic held Sept. 27. Entrance to the drive through is on Stevenson Boulevard.

At the Kaiser Permanente Medical Offices in Union City, the drive through and walk-in clinic drew more than 2,500. The drive through was held there for the ninth year. It was Fremont’s third year.

“The drive through flu clinics continue to be a popular and convenient way for members to get vaccinated and prevent the flu,” said Sue Dziedzic, RN, Assistant Medical Group Administrator, Kaiser Permanente Southern Alameda County.

“People don’t have to look for parking, stand in line or fill out paperwork,” she said. “These services are added value for KP members who are already proactive about their health.”

Although the drive through clinics end this weekend, the walk-in clinics inside the Union City MOB and the hospital in Fremont will remain open in October. Walk-in and drive-through hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday in Fremont and Union City.

Walk-in flu clinics are also open during the week at San Leandro Medical Center, 2500 Merced St., San Leandro and at Kaiser Permanente Hayward-Sleepy Hollow Medical Building, 27303 Sleepy Hollow Avenue, Hayward.
