Private foundation gives Davis Street families a cheerful day at the Alameda County Fair
Private foundation gives Davis Street families fair tickets, parking passes, unlimited ride wristbands, and food vouchers.
June 23, 2017; San Leandro, California: Family, funnel cake, caramel apples, cotton candy, pig races, fireworks and rides – the quintessential summer fair. 160 adults and children, ages 0 – 5, will be treated to a day at the County Fair thanks to a foundation whose goal is to provide low income children and their families with opportunities they would otherwise not have. Many of these families have never attended a fair, ever.
“This is my first time going to a fair and my family is so happy!” - Janie Ahmach, parent at Jefferson
Each family received tickets, parking passes, unlimited ride wristbands and food vouchers for the entire family to attend the fair.
