Prostitution Sting Operation: Nine Suspects Arrested

HAYWARD, CA — Nine men were arrested last month in Hayward on suspicion of trying to pay someone for sex, police said Wednesday.

The 10-hour sting was conducted between noon and 10 p.m. on Oct. 13 at a motel in north Hayward.

Eight of the nine men arrested were charged with prostitution-related offenses, according to police.

The aims of the sting were to find exploited children, arrest adults suspected of prostitution, suspected male customers, suspected pimps and anyone suspected of transporting or aiding in the activity, police said.
