San Leandro Burglary Leads To Police Chase

Two patrol cars were rammed by the suspects' vehicle and two parked cars sustained hit-and-run damage in the pursuit to Dublin and Oakland.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Suspects in a burglary Wednesday led Alameda County sheriff's deputies on a chase through Dublin and then Oakland, where they abandoned their car and successfully got away on foot, authorities said via social media.

Deputies responding to a home burglary report at 12:30 p.m. on Gramercy Way in unincorporated San Leandro saw the burglars flee as they arrived and undertook a pursuit that went to Dublin and then to Oakland.

That's where the suspects fled on foot at Edwards Avenue by Interstate Highway 580.

Deputies are now looking at evidence left in the getaway car to try and identify the suspects.
