San Leandro Marijuana Grower Arrested After He Calls Cops on Thieves
Police say they found an illegal marijuana grow operation inside a home after the resident called them about alleged armed robbers.

SAN LEANDRO, CA - Police arrested a 48-year-old man Sunday morning after he called police to report an armed robbery at his San Leandro home and officers discovered an illegal marijuana grow operation there.
Around 10 a.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Joaquin Ave. for a report of an armed robbery, according to police. The home's resident told police that three men armed with guns came into the house and tried to rob him.
Nothing was taken during the robbery, Lt. Robert McManus said via email.

Officers were unable to locate the suspects.
Inside the home officers found an illegal marijuana grow operation valued at an estimated $75,000. The operation was capable of producing more than $300,000 worth of marijuana annually, according to police.

Police arrested the resident, identified as Xihuan Ye, on suspicion of illegally growing marijuana.
Ye was booked into the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, police said
