San Leandro Police Searching for Truck in Hit-And-Run That Injured Pedestrian

A woman was struck and injured in San Leandro Thursday morning, and police are asking the public for help in locating the driver, who fled the scene. The victim, a 26-year-old woman, was crossing at Hesperian Boulevard and Thornally Drive around 9 a.m. when she was struck, police said.

She was taken by ambulance for treatment of her injuries. Surveillance video footage in the area showed a suspect vehicle described as a black pickup truck, possibly a Toyota extra-cab or four-door cab, with a chrome front bumper. It is likely to have front-end damage, according to police.
