SAN LEANDRO, CA — San Leandro police arrested a robbery suspect Tuesday afternoon after a vehicle pursuit led to a yard-by-yard search in a residential neighborhood.

Officers were searching in the area of Morgan and Joaquin avenues and had asked residents to shelter in place, as well as nearby Bancroft Middle School.

Police said at about 2:30 p.m. that the shelter in place orders have been lifted after the suspect's arrest, but that investigators remained in the area to look for any evidence left behind.
