San Leandro Senior Center To Offer Walk-Up Meals During Holidays

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The City of San Leandro said that it is offering walk-up meal pickup at the Senior Community Center during the holiday closure on Dec. 27, 28, and 30. The community center will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 24 until Jan. 3.

Lunch participation must be confirmed at least 24 hours in advance by calling Spectrum at 510-825-9793. Pickup time is from 12 to 12:30. The Flex Rides Shuttle will operate during its normal schedule on those days, and Flex Rides on Demand is available 24/7, including holidays, by calling 510-895-9911, ext. 5.

On Monday, the center will offer chicken salad with tomato and cucumber. On Tuesday, it will offer baked cod, leeks, and a Caesar salad. On Thursday, it will offer ham with collard greens and sweet potatoes.
