Who needs a groundhog to predict spring when you have a flower garden in San Leandro?
SAN LEANDRO, CA — Miyo Burnett has just picked flowers in her San Leandro garden and points out that this Lenten rose is blooming early. She credits early rain followed by warm, sunny days for the early blooms.
If you are considering planting Lenten roses at your home, Miyo said these are Helleborus orientalis.
