SAN LEANDRO, CA — Earlier this month, when it was 60 degrees by noon, Buddy the cat enjoyed a midday snooze in the sun. The shabby cardboard he chose to lie on was warmed by the golden orb. Buddy's owner Miyo Burnett tells Patch that the cardboard is there to keep down the weeds. We don't want to discourage you, Miyo, but it looks like the weeds won!
