SWAT Team Arrests Suspect Wanted By LAPD In San Leandro
The suspect had been tracked from LA to San Leandro. LAPD, the FBI and the Alameda County Sheriff's Office were all at the scene.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The San Leandro Police Department's SWAT team arrested a felony suspect on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department early Tuesday. The operation went smoothly and there were no injuries. Immediately after the arrest, the accused person was handed over to LAPD. Investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office were also at the scene and assisting in the operation.
"The operation was executed as planned and the target suspect was located and detained without incident," said San Leandro Police Lieutenant Isaac Benabou. "Our tactical team leaders conducted many hours of research and planning into this operation to ensure a safe and smooth application."
An aerial drone and the MedEvac vehicle were included in the operation.

The situation began when detectives from the LAPD tracked the suspect to an address on Sweetwater Drive in San Leandro. After LAPD detectives obtained a warrant for the location, it was delivered to the San Leandro Tactical Operations Team for execution.
The San Leandro Police Department withdrew from the incident immediately after the suspect was handed over as the investigation was resumed by LAPD and the FBI.
