Topsy Turvy Crash Sends Driver To Hospital

Firefighters had to stabilize the vehicle and remove the windshield before rescuing the driver.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Firefighters rescued a person who became trapped inside a vehicle after a crash in San Leandro on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.

At 4:06 p.m., firefighters responded to a vehicle crash in the area of Alvarado and Davis streets. At the scene, they found a vehicle on its side.

Fire crews stabilized the vehicle and removed the windshield to access the adult trapped inside in a front seat.

The person suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening and was transported to a hospital by
paramedics, fire officials said.
