Trailer Fire Pours Smoke Into Safeway Milk Production Facility

Employees had to evacuate the San Leandro plant.

SAN LEANDRO, CA - Fire consumed a trailer in San Leandro Friday afternoon at the Safeway Milk Production Facility. Smoke from the fire forced employees to evacuate the building.

Alameda County Firefighters responded just after 2 p.m. and quickly put out the flames, containing the fire to the trailer.

There were no reports of injuries.
