Volunteers Needed To Pack Medical Supplies

Opportunity to volunteer in San Leandro February 11

Here is a volunteer opportunity posted by the Volunteer Center of the East Bay happening right here in San Leandro February 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

"The Alameda County Youth Action Council invites you to join to help deliver hope around the world.  Volunteers will help save lives and the planet by spending their morning at Medshare sorting and boxing surplus medical supplies.  These supplies would have gone directly into local landfills or incinerators, but with your help they will instead be supplied to health care facilities serving those in need throughout the world.

Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty.  The warehouse that we will be sorting supplies in does not have heating, so it is recommended that volunteers dress for the outside temperature.  Closed toed shoes are mandatory.
