Woman Killed, Child Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash Outside Oakland Elementary School
The woman was dead at the scene and the four-year-old girl was injured.
OAKLAND, CA (CBS SF/KPIX) — A woman was killed and a 4-year-old child was injured when they were struck by a hit and run driver on a sidewalk outside Oakland’s Garfield Elementary School. But as tragic as it was, it came as no surprise to neighbors.
Police responded at 11:19 a.m. Tuesday to reports of pedestrians hit by a vehicle at Foothill and 22nd Avenue in front of the school. The woman was dead at the scene and the 4-year-old girl was injured and reported in stable condition.
