• Shooting Victim Found In Trunk Of Car During Routine Traffic Stop: Police (patch.com) — San Marino police uncovered a critically wounded shooting victim in the trunk of a Ford sedan after a late-night traffic stop at Los Robles Avenue and Monterey Road. The driver fled on foot, while a front-seat passenger was detained as a person of interest. Residents are urged to share any information with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau or Crime Stoppers.    

• Softball: San Marino Stays in Playoff Hunt With Win Over South Pasadena (outlooknewspapers.com) — San Marino High’s softball team kept its playoff hopes alive with a 14-6 road win over rival South Pasadena, powered by big games from pitcher-hitter Madeline Bilvado and run producers Kayla Wu and Lily Mata. The Titans avenged two earlier one-run losses, scoring in four different innings and breaking the series sweep while tightening the Rio Hondo League race.
