The ranking reflects strong student achievement, graduation rates, and college readiness, as well as performance on AP and IB exams compared with other Los Angeles County schools.
   

• Football: San Marino Tackles New League Obstacles (outlooknewspapers.com) — San Marino High's football team is kicking off a new era under head coach Dujuawn Jones, with a revamped offense, streamlined defense, and a move into the new Boulder League. Local standouts like quarterback Parker Wilson and a deep senior core aim to make the Titans more physical and versatile as they open at Vasquez on Aug. 21 before league play at Crescenta Valley.
