SAN MARINO, CA — The yearly Home for the Holidays festivities will open with a tribute to the 74-year legacy of the Holiday House Bus Shelter.
The event is set for Friday, Dec. 4 from 5-7 p.m. at the corner of Huntington Drive and San Marino Avenue.
Every winter local volunteers transform a public bus stop into a festively decorated, temporary miniature house.
The celebration will feature Santa Claus arriving aboard a fire truck, followed by a countdown to the holiday tree lighting.
Cookies, hot cocoa and a holiday craft activity also are planned.
More about the Holiday House Bus Stop is available from the city's Community Services Department.
