Every June a thousand San Gabriel Valley community members and students participate in the 24 hour Relay for Life at the Santa Anita Race Track to raise awareness and over $100,000 in funds for our American Cancer Society. This year our local team is beginning early in our fundraising efforts with a Mini-Relay for Life. The community is invited to join our students in this mini-walkathon with proceeds benefiting our team annual entry: San Marino United Against Cancer. Full event registration is $20 and includes our event t-shirt, water, snacks and prizes for laps completed. For more information, contact Denise Wadsworth, dwadsworth@smusd.us.
