'Rockefeller' San Marino Murder Trial Delayed to Jan. 2013

The impostor charged with a 1985 San Marino bludgeoning death and his attorneys will return to court June 25, the Pasadena Star-News reported.

In the latest installment of the case of Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, a the trial is now set for January 2013, the Pasadena Star-News reported Friday.

"Judge Michael Pastor said it was unusual to set a trial date so far into the future and ordered attorneys to return to court on June 25," noted the Star-News.

Gerhartsreiter, who called himself Christopher Chichester in San Marino in the 1980s and years later claimed to be Clark Rockefeller, rented a guesthouse on Lorain Road and is charged with the 1985 murder of John Sohus, who lived in the main house with his wife, Linda, and his mother, Ruth "Didi" Sohus.

John and Linda Sohus disappeared from San Marino in 1985 and John's bones were found in the backyard of the Lorain Road home in 1994. Linda Sohus has never been found.

took place in the Alhambra Superior Courthouse, but the trial will occur in Downtown Los Angeles, the Pasadena Star-News reported Wednesday.
