“It’s Never Too Late to Make Your Dreams Come True” Said Pardue

From PTA to Ms Senior California 2018, Rita Pardue, the keynote speaker at USC Trojan Affiliates year end celebration will inspire you

Rita Pardue, Ms. Senior California 2018 will address the USC Trojan Affiliates at their Year End Celebration on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at El Portal Restaurant, 95 East Green Street in Pasadena. Her topic will be “It’s Never Too Late to Make Your Dreams Come True”. The meeting will begin with a Social No Host bar at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner and program at 7:00 p.m.

Rita Pardue is a double alumna from California State University Los Angeles earning her bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Radio, and Television and her Master’s Degree in Child Development. She currently works as a Southern California Public Radio group’s Production Manager and Announcer, headquartered in Pasadena. She is a seasoned communicator with over twenty years of experience in radio and television. Her client list includes Disney Home Video, Time Warner Cable, Cox Media, and Fisher-Price. She was KKLA’s Midday LA Host from 1998-2004. During the 1990s, she was the voice of Mrs. Aahs and a host of other characters on Children’s Broadcasting Corporation’s “Radio Aahs” and narrates for several of the popular “Hello Kitty” children’s books. Rita sang with the original cast of “Jubilee” in Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Hotel and performed with the Hollywood Bowl Easter Choir from 2008-2011. s She was a mentor and teacher of audio production, vocal and career coaching at Los Angeles Valley College Services and Programs.

Her volunteer work has included the PTA, Civil Air Patrol, Little League mom, worship leader and singer at her church, Operation Gratitude worker, and spokesperson for World Vision and Food for the Poor ministries. In June of 2018, Rita was crowned Ms. Senior California as a part of the nationwide Ms. Senior America pageant system. She aims to promote awareness for senior well-being and inspire the community to elevated, meaningful heights.

The members of USC Trojan Affiliates invite all interested women to attend this special evening, to hear Rita Pardue install the 2019-2020 Board of Directors, hear a review of the activities for Trojan Affiliates for 2018-2019, to recognize the new 2018-2019 members, and to make new friends. USC Trojan Affiliates, a women’s organization located in the San Gabriel Valley, supports the University of Southern California and welcomes all interested women to attend its meetings and events. All women parents, alumna, and friends of USC are encouraged to attend. Meetings are usually held the first Thursday evening in October, December, February, March, and May. The first meeting of the 2019-2020 year will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2019.
