It's A Red, White & Blue Salute To Our Hometown Heroes

San Marino PTA Council Presented The 87th Annual Founder's Day Honorary Service Award On 2-28-17 At The Kenneth E. White Auditorium

PTA Working Together for Children since 1897
One hundred years ago one of the founder Alice McLellan Birney said, “Let us have no more croaking as to what cannot be done; let us see what can be done, and above all see that it is done.” That brisk philosophy still drives the PTA today. While the methods may change to make us more responsive to the demands of an electronic era, the underlying principle does not – “everychild. onevoice.”

Founder's Day was established in 1910 to honor the founders of PTA, Alice McLellan Birney and Phoebe Apperson Hearst.

San Marino's first PTA was established in the early 1930's at George S. Stoneman School and Henry E. Huntington Middle School. This is our 87th Annual Founder's Day Honorary Service Awards.
